Currently, Kate teaches a seminar, The Economic Constitution, at UVA's Program in Political Philosophy, Policy and Law and advises senior undergraduates as they complete their honors theses. At Columbia University, in addition to a seminar for upperclassmen entitled The Political Theory of the Corporation, Kate regularly teaches a summer course on politics and international finance. Her teaching experience also includes classes in modern political thought, justice, international politics, international political economy and American Politics. In addition, she is qualified to teach courses in constitutional law and business ethics.
She is Submissions Coordinator for the journal Constellations, co-edited by Professors Jean L. Cohen (Columbia University), Christina Lafont (Northwestern University) and Hubertus Buchstein (Greifswald University).
Prior to Kate's Ph.D. studies, she practiced corporate law in Delaware state and federal courts, including the representation of clients in shareholder derivative suits, securities fraud litigation, and intellectual property disputes.
